1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWePC’s “Annual Awards 2025” page is best read as a retrospective on hardware released or prominent in 2024, not as a fresh awards list for 2025 products. Its URL still says “annual-awards-2024,” its introduction discusses 2024 releases, and its author archive lists it under December 16, 2024, even though search metadata reports a December 5, 2025 update. That points to a later retitling or update, though WePC has not confirmed the reason. The selections below are WePC’s editorial picks, not a standardized industry ranking. As of September 2026, they are historical recommendations; check current stock, prices, warranties, and newer alternatives before buying.

What the 2025 title means
The year needs a qualification before the winners do. WePC’s page title calls the feature “WePC Annual Awards 2025,” but its URL ends in wepc-annual-awards-2024, the introduction describes products seen in 2024, and the author archive dates the feature to December 16, 2024. Search metadata reports a later update on December 5, 2025. Taken together, those details suggest a 2024 hardware retrospective that was updated or retitled in 2025, rather than a new survey of 2025 launches. That is an inference from the page record, not a confirmed explanation from WePC.

Accordingly, “winner” below means WePC’s pick in that feature. The awards weigh factors such as performance, value, features, build quality, cooling, usability, and generational improvement, but the feature does not present a standardized scoring rubric that makes its rankings independently reproducible. Its numerical claims belong to its own test context and should not be generalized to every game, configuration, or user.
Brand and gaming peripherals
Brand of the year: Endgame Gear, with Nvidia as runner-up
WePC’s case for Endgame Gear rests on a combination of enthusiast-focused peripheral design, competitive pricing relative to some premium alternatives, the OP1 8K mouse, and the KB65HE Hall Effect keyboard. Nvidia placed second because of its graphics leadership and features such as DLSS and Frame Generation. WePC also points to consumer pricing as a drawback, so this is a balance of product innovation and value—not an award for market share or a declaration that one company makes the best products in every category. See WePC’s feature for its original reasoning.
Gaming mouse: Endgame Gear OP1 8K
WePC highlights the OP1 8K’s wired 8,000Hz polling, low click latency, light build, grippy surface, and hot-swappable main-button switches. Its design also makes disassembly and customization relatively approachable. Those features make it an enthusiast-oriented choice, but polling rate is not a shortcut to better aim: the benefit is most relevant to competitive play on a high-refresh setup, and high polling can add USB and CPU overhead.
The wired connection rules it out for anyone who prioritizes wireless freedom, and its light shape will not suit every hand or grip. Shape and comfort matter more than a headline polling number for many players. The Razer Viper V3 Pro is the more natural alternative if wireless esports use is the priority; it is not simply an inferior version of the OP1 8K.
Gaming keyboard: Keychron Q6 Max
WePC selects the Q6 Max for its full-size layout, wired and wireless connectivity, hot-swappable switches, build quality, programmability, and utility for both work and games. Its Windows, macOS, and Linux compatibility adds flexibility. Buyers can check the model and layout details at Keychron’s product page.
The full-size layout takes up more desk space than a 60%, 65%, or 75% board, making it a less obvious choice for a compact competitive setup. Switch feel is personal, not a universal performance ranking. If adjustable actuation and Hall Effect behavior are the priority, WePC’s Endgame Gear KB65HE alternative is more specialized; its wired 65% format is less suited to someone who wants a conventional full-size work keyboard.

Cases, GPUs, CPUs, and cooling
PC case: HAVN HS 420; value alternative: Lian Li Lancool 207
WePC treats the HAVN HS 420 as the innovative premium-build pick, with the standard version suited to most of its intended audience and the HS 420 VGPU directed at vertical-GPU builds. It is the design-led choice, not automatically the sensible option for every budget or desk.
The Lian Li Lancool 207 is the more practical value counterpoint: WePC cites compact dimensions for an ATX case, strong thermals, four included PWM fans, thoughtful power-supply and drive placement, and useful AIO support. For a conventional airflow-focused build, its value proposition may matter more than the HAVN’s premium showcase appeal. Check graphics-card length, radiator support, cooler height, and cable clearance against the exact parts list before ordering either case.
GPU: GeForce RTX 4070 Super; higher-end alternative: RTX 4080 Super
WePC’s RTX 4070 Super pick emphasizes price-to-performance and high-settings 1440p gaming. Its feature reports roughly a 15% average frame-rate improvement over the standard RTX 4070 in the source’s comparison; that is a period-specific, test-dependent claim, not a guaranteed uplift in every game. The award argument also includes DLSS and Frame Generation support. Check Nvidia’s RTX 4070 family page for product details.
The RTX 4080 Super is the runner-up for buyers seeking more raw performance, greater 4K capability, and more VRAM headroom than the 4070 Super. WePC’s historical comparison said it launched about $200 below the original RTX 4080; that is not a current price comparison. By September 2026, both are older-generation selections. Their value depends on the price and availability you actually find and how they compare with newer cards in your market.
Frame Generation output is not equivalent to the same increase in natively rendered frames. Results depend on the game and implementation, and generated frames do not remove underlying latency or image-quality trade-offs. Do not treat a broad percentage uplift as a universal performance promise.
Gaming CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D; value alternative: Ryzen 7 9700X
WePC names the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D its gaming CPU winner, citing 3D V-Cache and improved performance and cooling relative to the 7800X3D. Its article reports gaming uplifts of roughly 7–27% depending on the title. Treat that as a result from the source’s test conditions: outcomes vary with game engine, resolution, graphics card, memory, and methodology.

Perfect for gamers, students, content creators, and home office users seeking reliable performance without the hassle of building a PC themselves. The mature AM4 platform with DDR4 memory offers excellent value and proven stability.
The Ryzen 7 9700X is the more value-minded runner-up. An X3D gaming advantage may be hard to see if the graphics card is the bottleneck, and the 9800X3D is not automatically the right CPU for heavily threaded rendering, compiling, or other productivity workloads. Before a purchase or upgrade, verify AM5 motherboard BIOS support, memory compatibility, and cooler capacity; a platform upgrade may cost more than the processor alone.
Air cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO
WePC’s air-cooler pick is the Phantom Spirit 120 EVO, which it praised for performance relative to price. The feature cited about $42.99 at the time of its coverage; that is a historical figure, not a September 2026 quote. Check Thermalright’s product listing, then confirm socket compatibility, case-height clearance, RAM height, motherboard-slot access, and noise behavior for your build.
AIO cooler: ID-Cooling FX360 INF
The ID-Cooling FX360 INF is WePC’s liquid-cooling choice, praised for Intel cooling performance, value on AMD, build quality, and installation. Its cited drawback is a three-year warranty, though warranty terms can vary by region and exact model. A 360 mm radiator also requires a case that supports its dimensions and placement.
The Lian Li HydroShift LCD 360S is the premium alternative, with an LCD, flexible tubing, and a longer warranty cited by WePC (six years). Its larger physical requirements, price, and potentially high fan noise at maximum speed are relevant trade-offs. Verify current warranty coverage directly with the manufacturer before purchase.

Laptops and gaming handhelds
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 7i; portable alternative: ASUS Zephyrus G16
WePC narrowly favors the Lenovo Legion 7i for higher GPU power limits, better in-game frame rates, and stronger cooling in the configurations it compared. Lenovo’s Legion line is listed at Lenovo’s laptop page. The ASUS Zephyrus G16 is the portability-oriented alternative, with OLED options, a slimmer design, and longer battery life highlighted by WePC.
These are laptop families, not single fixed specifications. A Legion 7i or Zephyrus G16’s CPU, GPU, GPU power limit, panel, RAM, storage, cooling, and regional configuration can materially change performance and battery life. Compare the exact SKU rather than assuming all models bearing the same family name behave alike. Choose the Legion’s performance emphasis for sustained gaming at a desk; the G16 makes more sense if weight, battery life, and display preference outweigh maximum gaming throughput.
Rank #4
- POWERHOUSE 8-CORE GAMING PERFORMANCE — Driven by the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F with 8 cores and 16 threads, boosting up to 5.0 GHz for smooth, responsive gameplay and the ability to handle AAA titles, streaming, and background tasks all at once

- Turn on the Bright Lights: With the built-in RGB lighting, take your gaming experience to the next level by pressing the MSI LED button to cycle through lighting options. Customize lighting even further with MSI Center software.
Productivity laptop: Surface Laptop, 7th generation; MacBook Air alternative
WePC selects the seventh-generation Microsoft Surface Laptop, citing Snapdragon X Elite-class performance, battery life, a bright and colorful display, a slim build, upgradeable M.2 storage, and Windows software breadth. The MacBook Air remains the alternative for users who favor its speakers, display characteristics, mature Apple silicon software ecosystem, or existing macOS setup.
Windows-on-ARM compatibility is not universal. Some specialist applications, games, drivers, and anti-cheat systems may not work as they do on x86 Windows. WePC’s roughly 19–20-hour battery result was reported for a particular configuration and battery-saving mode, not a general guarantee; screen brightness, workload, processor variant, and size all affect runtime. Confirm software compatibility and the exact regional configuration before buying.

Gaming handheld: Steam Deck OLED; Windows alternative: ROG Ally X
WePC prefers the Steam Deck OLED for its OLED image, perceived brightness, battery experience, interface, and overall handheld usability—not because it is the fastest handheld. Its best fit is a player whose games and launchers work well within SteamOS.
The ASUS ROG Ally X is the alternative for higher raw performance, Windows game compatibility, a higher maximum refresh rate, and broader PC flexibility. Windows can be less console-like to navigate on a handheld, while SteamOS does not cover every Windows-only launcher or service. Check anti-cheat support for the specific games you play, Game Pass PC needs, and expected battery life at your chosen power level. Both can connect to external displays, but check the dock, output mode, and accessories needed for your setup. The Steam Deck’s award is about the experience; the Ally X is the more relevant pick for certain Windows-dependent libraries.

QHD monitor: AOC Q27G3XMN; premium OLED alternative: ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG
WePC’s QHD choice, the AOC Q27G3XMN, combines 1440p resolution, a 180Hz refresh rate, and Mini-LED backlighting with 336 local-dimming zones. WePC highlights its contrast and HDR potential, roughly 1ms-class response performance, and sRGB coverage. The source cited a price near $280 at the time; it is not a current quote.
Mini-LED local dimming can produce blooming around bright objects, and VA response behavior can include dark smearing depending on settings and unit. HDR quality, desktop use, calibration, and panel behavior are not captured by a single spec. If you play fast competitive games and are sensitive to VA motion artifacts, compare it in person if possible.

- READY TO PLAY OUT OF THE BOX - Arrives fully assembled and tested with Windows 11 Home pre-installed, so your prebuilt gaming computer is ready to set up in minutes. Assembled in the USA, and backed by a one-year limited warranty and lifetime free technical support.
The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG is the premium QHD OLED alternative: per-pixel blacks, strong contrast, and faster pixel response appeal to OLED enthusiasts. The trade-offs include higher cost, potential burn-in with repeated static content, and text-clarity differences that some desktop users notice. Use sensible screen-care features and avoid leaving static elements at high brightness for prolonged periods.
4K monitor: Alienware AW3225QF; alternative: Samsung Odyssey OLED G8
The Alienware AW3225QF is WePC’s premium 4K monitor winner: a 32-inch QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, fast response, wide color, Dolby Vision support, and a strong build. This is a demanding target: driving current games at 4K and high frame rates requires substantial GPU performance, and actual results depend on settings and game support.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G8/G80SD is the alternative if a more matte surface, integrated applications, remote control, or TV-like dual use appeal. QD-OLED image characteristics, room reflections, HDR behavior, text rendering, and burn-in precautions should figure in the choice rather than being treated as minor details. Compare the exact G8 model and size: names can cover distinct products.
Gaming TV: Samsung QN90D; OLED alternative: Samsung S95D
WePC picks the Samsung QN90D for Mini-LED backlighting, motion handling, FreeSync Premium Pro, Gaming Hub, and four HDMI 2.1 inputs. The Samsung S95D is its OLED alternative, emphasizing deep blacks and cinematic picture quality.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The practical choice is viewing environment and use: the QN90D’s LCD/Mini-LED design suits bright rooms and buyers who want to reduce concern about static-image burn-in; the S95D suits dark-room contrast enthusiasts who are comfortable taking OLED care into account. WePC cites a 144Hz maximum refresh rate for the QN90D, but console owners should not expect a console to output 144Hz: current consoles generally target up to 120Hz, while higher refresh ceilings are chiefly relevant to PC gaming. Check the exact TV size and regional specification before assuming ports or features are identical.
Streaming gear: a camera and a microphone
Webcam: Elgato Facecam Neo
WePC calls the Elgato Facecam Neo an affordable streaming webcam, citing Full HD video, plug-and-play operation, adjustable settings, image quality for its price tier, and a privacy shutter. It is a sensible category pick for a simple camera setup, but Full HD may be limiting if your production requires higher-resolution capture or more advanced camera controls.
Microphone: Shure MV6
The Shure MV6 is not a webcam runner-up. It is a USB microphone that WePC praises for sound, build, automatic level adjustment, tap-to-mute, and headphone monitoring. A camera and microphone solve different parts of a stream; for an entry setup, they can be complementary purchases. Consider room noise, mic placement, monitoring needs, and whether your computer has the ports and software support your workflow requires.
How to use these awards as a buying guide in 2026
A historical award can tell you what WePC valued at the time, but it cannot tell you whether a product is a good deal today. No reliable September 2026 price or inventory figures are established here. Before purchasing any of these models:
- Compare today’s street price with newer alternatives. Older-generation stock can be a bargain, but a clearance price is not automatically good value. Verify whether a successor is available and whether a current-generation product offers better performance, support, or efficiency for a similar price.
- Match the product to the use case. Competitive gaming, 4K play, portable use, office productivity, streaming, and bright-room TV viewing reward different features. The award winner is not necessarily the best fit for your priorities.
- Check the exact model and configuration. This is essential for laptop GPU power and panels, TV sizes and regional features, monitor variants, and cooler or case dimensions.
- Verify platform and game compatibility. Check OS support, launcher and anti-cheat behavior, ports, BIOS requirements, and any required docks or adapters.
- Confirm warranty, return terms, and stock condition. Manufacturer coverage may differ by country, and open-box or refurbished items can carry different terms. For AIOs and OLED displays in particular, confirm coverage for the exact model.
- Reassess the full build cost. A 4K/240Hz display, 360 mm AIO, or premium case can require additional spending on a capable GPU, a compatible chassis, or other components.
