Tradervue and TradingView solve different problems. TradingView is built for charting markets, finding setups, setting alerts and developing strategies. Tradervue is built for importing completed trades and reviewing performance. Choose TradingView to improve your market-analysis workflow, Tradervue to study your own execution, or both if you want a connected analysis-and-review process.

Tradervue vs TradingView at a glance

Need Better fit Why
Chart markets and identify potential trades TradingView Charts, screeners, indicators, alerts, drawing tools and scripting are central to the platform.
Import completed trades and keep a structured journal Tradervue It organizes execution records with notes, tags, filters and review tools.
Develop indicators or strategies TradingView Pine Script, community scripts and strategy testing support market research.
Analyze results by setup, time, symbol or trade group Tradervue Its reports focus on actual trades and performance patterns.
Paper trade or connect a supported broker TradingView It offers simulated trading and broker connections where available.
Use market analysis and post-trade review together Both TradingView can support the pre-trade workflow; Tradervue can hold and analyze the resulting trade record.

A useful shorthand is: TradingView helps you analyze and act on the market; Tradervue helps you analyze your own trading. They overlap in charts and trade markers, but neither is a full substitute for the other.

What Tradervue does better

Tradervue is a trade journal and performance-analysis application. Its starting point is usually execution data from a broker or trading platform, rather than a live chart. You can import trades, add entries manually, attach notes and images, tag setups or mistakes, and filter records for review. It supports stocks, futures, options and forex, but the asset classes and fields available depend on the broker and import method. See the supported brokers and platforms before relying on a particular workflow.

Its value is in asking questions about what you actually did: Which setup has performed best? Do your results change by time of day, symbol, side or trade group? Are you exiting too early? What do losing trades have in common? Tradervue offers daily and cumulative P&L, win-rate and volume views, comparison reports, risk measures and MFE/MAE analysis. MFE (maximum favorable excursion) and MAE (maximum adverse excursion) describe how far a trade moved in your favor or against you while open; they can help frame exit decisions, but they do not by themselves prove that a different exit would have been practical or repeatable.

Tradervue also supports commission and fee tracking, but the result is only as complete as the data you import or configure. If your broker export omits costs, net performance may be overstated unless you add estimates. Its trading analysis overview and commission guidance explain these reporting areas.

For traders with unsupported platforms, Tradervue provides generic import options and an API for trade and journal data. The import help and API documentation are worth checking if you depend on automation or a nonstandard export. A listed broker does not guarantee every asset type, field, date range or import mode works the same way.

What TradingView does better

TradingView is a broad charting and market-analysis platform. Its tools include multi-market charts, indicators, drawing tools, watchlists, screeners, alerts, economic and earnings calendars, and market data. Pine Script and community-created scripts let users build or apply chart studies. Depending on plan, TradingView also offers Bar Replay, strategy testing, paper trading, chart-data export and connections to selected brokers.

That makes TradingView the stronger choice for prospective decisions: finding a market to watch, testing a chart idea, monitoring a level or indicator, and—in supported broker and regional combinations—placing or managing an order from a chart. TradingView’s plan comparison lists differences in charts, indicators, historical bars, alerts, screeners, replay and other capabilities. Broker availability, instruments and execution features vary, so confirm your broker and account type rather than assuming every connection supports every workflow.

TradingView can support notes, saved layouts, simulated trades and strategy testing, but those are not the same as a dedicated journal built around importing actual fills, tagging trades, recording review notes and analyzing behavior across a history of executions.

Charting: planning a trade versus reviewing one

TradingView’s charts are designed for broad market research and monitoring. Tradervue’s charts are attached to trade review: they can show entry and exit markers and provide timeframes, indicators and drawings around an imported execution. Tradervue also describes interactive charts powered by TradingView; its chart feature overview explains that workflow.

4X Trading Journal for Day Traders | Trade Log Book for Stocks, Forex, Options, Crypto | 12 Week Plan with 80 Trades | Trading Accessories | Neuroscience Based with Guided Trading Plan | Traders Gift
  • BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
  • THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
  • NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
  • RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
  • BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.

That integration does not establish full TradingView product parity inside Tradervue. Do not assume it includes TradingView’s entire screener, Pine Script environment, alert system, broker connections, replay tools or plan entitlements. Think of the chart in Tradervue as a way to put a trade into market context, not as a replacement for TradingView’s complete analysis workspace.

Nor should a chart marker automatically be treated as an exact reconstruction of every fill or tick. Chart feeds, broker quotes, exchange permissions, delayed data, extended-hours settings, symbol types and execution conditions can differ. For precise review, check the broker’s execution record alongside the chart.

Broker connection is not the same as journal import

TradingView broker integrations are intended for viewing or trading through selected brokers, subject to the broker, instrument, account and region. Tradervue integrations bring completed execution history into a journal for recordkeeping and analysis. A broker may support one service but not the other, and “supported” may mean manual file upload rather than continuous automatic syncing.

Before paying for Tradervue, verify the exact broker and asset class on its support list. Check whether the import includes executions and timestamps, partial fills, commissions, open positions and the options or futures details you need; also check whether import is automated and how far back historical data goes. Options assignments and expirations, corporate actions and futures-specific fields can require particular care. Tradervue warns that the wrong broker format or unsupported asset type may result in no executions being found in its FAQ.

Tradervue says it guards against duplicate transactions when the same data is imported again, but after your first import, inspect the account selection, trade grouping, dates and totals. A successful upload is not proof that every field was mapped as intended.

Pricing and plan fit

The prices below are signals displayed in the cited official pages on August 16, 2026, not a guarantee of what checkout will show today. Confirm the current price, billing cycle, trial conditions and regional taxes before subscribing.

Product or plan Displayed price What to keep in mind
Tradervue Silver $29.95/month Check the current feature list and billing terms on the pricing page.
Tradervue Gold $49.95/month Lists trade-exit performance, maximum-potential-P&L analysis, and commission and fee support.
TradingView Basic Free Useful for basic chart use, with feature limits.
TradingView Essential $12.95/month when billed annually Displayed annual-billing price; not necessarily the month-to-month price.
TradingView Premium $59.95/month when billed annually Displayed annual-billing price; compare the current limits and billing terms.
TradingView Ultimate $199.95/month when billed annually Displayed annual-billing price; intended for higher feature needs.

TradingView says plans differ in chart and indicator limits, historical data, alerts, screeners, replay and export features. Exchange or market-data subscriptions may cost extra, and broker fees, permissions and regional taxes can add to the bill. Tradervue’s paid trial and cancellation terms should be checked at signup; the cited Gold signup page described a seven-day trial that converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends, and stated sales are final.

There is conflicting information across Tradervue help pages about the free import quota: one page says 30 trades per calendar month and another refers to 100. Because the published figures disagree, verify the limit in the current account or signup flow rather than budgeting around either number. See the quota page and FAQ.

To control cost, start with the bottleneck you actually have. A chart-focused trader may get enough from TradingView Basic; a trader who does not yet review trades may not get value from a paid journal. If using both, pay for TradingView features you use for prospective analysis and Tradervue features you use for actual review, rather than assuming you need overlapping chart capabilities twice.

Who should choose each one?

  • Choose TradingView if your priority is charts, screeners, alerts, indicators, Pine Script, replay, paper trading, strategy testing or a supported chart-based broker workflow.
  • Choose Tradervue if you already trade and want to import completed executions, tag setups, record notes, track costs and study performance patterns.
  • Use both if TradingView is part of your market routine and you want structured post-trade accountability tied to imported executions.
  • Start with a low-cost or manual approach if you trade only occasionally or are unsure you will maintain a journal. Upgrade only when volume, limits or analysis needs justify it.

For options and futures traders, broker compatibility deserves special attention: verify the exact instrument and import fields before paying. For strategy developers, TradingView is the more relevant starting point; Tradervue can become useful once live or simulated executions accumulate. For active day traders trying to understand costs, risk and exit behavior, a journal is more pertinent—but it is only useful if imports are accurate and you review the results regularly.

A practical workflow with both

  1. Use TradingView to scan markets, review charts and define the setup you are watching.
  2. Place the trade through your broker or a supported TradingView connection; Tradervue is not an execution broker.
  3. Import or sync completed executions into Tradervue using a supported broker integration, generic file or API route.
  4. Check the imported account, timestamps, fills, grouping and commission fields against the broker record.
  5. Tag the setup, market context, rule adherence, mistake or exit reason, and add a note or image while the trade is fresh.
  6. Review the trade on its chart, then compare results by setup, time, symbol, side and risk over a meaningful sample.
  7. Use the findings to update a written plan; treat a pattern as a hypothesis to test, not proof that future performance will match past results.

Bottom line

There is no universal winner because the products answer different questions. If you need to know what the market is doing and where a trade might be, start with TradingView. If you need to know what your completed trades say about your process, start with Tradervue. If you need both kinds of insight and can confirm that your broker data imports correctly, using them together is the most natural workflow.
