Teclast announced the T50 Max in July 2024, so it is not a new tablet in 2026. Its headline features are an 11-inch adaptive 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 4G LTE, 256GB storage and four speakers. It launched in Japan with Android 14; current regional pricing, availability and software support should be checked before buying.

These are announced or reported specifications, not a substitute for checking the exact regional model. Teclast’s product page and launch coverage from Notebookcheck describe the core hardware.
90Hz display: smoother motion, not 2K resolution
The T50 Max has an 11-inch IPS screen with a 1920 × 1200 resolution. That is Full HD-class, offering a practical amount of detail for video, browsing and documents, but it is not a 2K panel. Teclast advertises an adaptive refresh rate up to 90Hz, which can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother than on a standard 60Hz display. It does not mean that every app, game or video runs at 90 frames per second.
Teclast also cites TDDI touch-and-display integration, 120Hz touch sampling, roughly 400-nit maximum brightness and TÜV-related eye-comfort claims. Treat these as manufacturer claims rather than independent measurements. Around 400 nits is generally more suited to indoor use than bright outdoor conditions, and refresh rate alone says nothing about color accuracy, contrast or viewing angles.

Helio G99 performance and the “20GB RAM” claim
The Helio G99 is a mainstream, 6nm-class chipset with two Cortex-A76 performance cores running up to 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores up to 2.0GHz and Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. It is a reasonable fit for browsing, streaming, office apps, video calls and moderate multitasking. Casual games and many older titles should be more appropriate than demanding 3D games, heavy editing or other sustained high-performance workloads; no independent T50 Max gaming or thermal test is established by the launch reports.
The advertised “up to 20GB RAM” needs context: the tablet has 8GB of physical RAM and can allocate up to 12GB of internal storage as virtual memory. Storage-based expansion is slower than physical RAM and does not turn the device into a 20GB-RAM tablet. The 256GB internal storage and reported microSD support are useful for downloaded media and files. Teclast-associated launch material cites an AnTuTu score of about 406,932, but that is a promotional benchmark figure, not an independently reproduced result or a guarantee of day-to-day speed.
Four speakers, LTE and ports
Teclast equips the T50 Max with four speakers and promotes an intelligent digital amplifier under its SWEET 4 audio branding. That suggests a fuller sound setup than a typical two-speaker budget tablet, but the available launch material does not provide independent loudness, bass, distortion or channel-separation measurements. The tablet also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C. Teclast-associated material describes dual-microphone noise reduction for calls and recording.

Battery, cameras and software
The 8000mAh battery is a substantial capacity for an 11-inch tablet, but the launch material does not establish a standardized independent runtime. Actual endurance will depend on brightness, refresh-rate behavior, gaming, LTE use and background activity. Charging is rated at 18W USB Power Delivery, a modest rate for this battery size, so a full recharge may take a while. Check whether the seller includes a charger suitable for your region.
The cameras are a 13MP autofocus rear unit and an 8MP front camera. Those specifications may cover document snapshots and video calls, but they do not establish photo quality; independent camera testing was not available in the cited launch coverage. Android 14 was the stated launch operating system. Do not assume an upgrade to Android 15 or 16, or a particular security-support period, without a device-specific official firmware record.

The clearest launch pricing is historical and Japanese: Teclast-associated material listed a regular price of ¥39,900 and a promotional ¥27,900 price for July 5–9, 2024. Those figures are not current U.S. prices. Contemporary Japanese sale reports also documented temporary discounts later in 2024; they should not be treated as evidence of today’s price.
The T50 Max remains on Teclast’s product page, but it is not prominent among the newer models in the company’s current global tablet catalog. Current third-party listings vary by region and seller, and a current official U.S. checkout price was not verified. Compare the delivered price, taxes, shipping, warranty provider and return terms rather than converting the old yen price directly into a buying recommendation.

Should you buy the Teclast T50 Max?
It may make sense if you find it at a substantial discount from a reputable seller, want an 11-inch screen with LTE, value 256GB storage or the headphone jack, and have confirmed that the cellular bands work with your carrier. Its four-speaker layout and large battery add practical appeal, though sound quality and runtime are not independently established here.
It is a harder recommendation at a price close to newer tablets. The T50 Max was announced in 2024, launched with Android 14, and has no confirmed update commitment in the cited sources. Its 400-nit-class brightness, 18W charging and Helio G99 also make it a more sensible everyday-media tablet than a high-performance or outdoor-use device. Teclast’s current catalog includes newer models such as the T50 Plus and T50 Mini; compare their size, display and connectivity against the T50 Max rather than assuming they are direct replacements. The T50 Mini, for example, is smaller and more portable, while the T50 Max offers the larger 11-inch 1920 × 1200 screen.
Before ordering, verify that the listing says T50 Max—not T50, T50 HD, T50 Pro, T50 Plus or T50 Mini—then confirm the physical RAM and storage, LTE bands, Google Play and streaming certification, Android version, charger, local warranty and return policy. Widevine certification matters if HD streaming is important; screen resolution alone does not guarantee HD playback in a particular service.
