Vivo’s Android 11 and Funtouch OS 11 rollout depended on the phone’s market, exact model variant, and software region; there was no single worldwide eligibility list. In a February 24, 2021 announcement for Russia, Vivo said the X50 Pro, X50, and V20 SE had received Android 11, and scheduled seven more V- and Y-series models for rollout during 2021. Those statements do not guarantee that every international, carrier, or imported version of those phones received the update. Android 11 and Funtouch OS 11 are now historical software versions, so use this as a compatibility guide—not a description of Vivo’s current update policy.
Vivo phones officially named in the Russian Android 11 announcement
The clearest first-party list in the available evidence is from Vivo Russia. It describes the status of models in that market; it is not a global promise. The word “received” below reflects Vivo’s statement on February 24, 2021, while “scheduled” reflects the company’s plan at that time.

What this list proves—and what it does not: it records Vivo’s announcement for the Russian market. A planned rollout is not proof that every device received it, and the announcement does not establish eligibility for the same retail name sold in another country. Check the exact model number and firmware region before drawing conclusions.
Regional support pages are not Android 11 eligibility lists
Vivo maintains different support pages and model selectors by country. Its India upgrade-package selector and UAE system-update page show region-specific product and software-support inventories. These can help you find official assistance for a local model, but a model appearing in a selector does not, by itself, prove that it received Android 11.

Names that can appear in broader regional discussions include the V20, V20 Pro, V21, V21e, X60, X60 Pro, Y20, Y20s, Y12s, Y20G, Y31, Y51, and Y33s. Do not treat that collection as a Vivo-confirmed worldwide Android 11 list: availability and evidence need to be checked for each model and market. Vivo’s country and region selector reflects how its services are organized by market.
Android 11 and Funtouch OS 11 are related, but not interchangeable
- Android 11 is the underlying Google operating-system version.
- Funtouch OS 11 is Vivo’s interface and software layer built around Android 11 on supported international-market devices.
A phone described as Android 11-based is not necessarily guaranteed to have the same Funtouch OS features, menus, or update package as another Vivo phone in a different country. Software can vary by model, region, and firmware channel.
How to check the software on your Vivo phone
- Open Settings.
- Look for System update, Software update, or System upgrade. The wording and menu location vary by model and software version.
- Choose the option to check for updates. Install an update only if the phone’s updater offers it for that device.
- After updating, open Settings → About phone or About device.
- Note the Android version, Funtouch OS version, security patch level, and build number.
Vivo’s official India software-update support and UAE system-update support provide regional paths to update information. If your phone was purchased elsewhere, use the support site for its sales or firmware region where possible.

The retail name alone may not be enough. Record the full model name and model number from About phone or the device label, along with its country of purchase, current build, carrier or unlocked status, and RAM/storage variant. Similar names can refer to distinct hardware or firmware:

Vivo’s regional selectors illustrate how many variants exist within a family. Confirm the model number rather than relying on a retailer’s shortened name or another owner’s update report.
Why an eligible phone may not show Android 11
Eligibility did not mean immediate or universal availability. A rollout could be staged, limited to a country or firmware region, delayed for a carrier-customized version, or temporarily withdrawn if a problem emerged. A newer update may also supersede the original Android 11 package, so the updater may not present a separate Android 11 offer.
Imported phones are a particular edge case: the firmware region and exact model can matter more than the owner’s current location. Likewise, two phones with similar names may use different software channels. Changing the phone’s region, using a VPN, or resetting it is not a reliable way to make an update appear.
If no update is offered
- Confirm the full model name and model number.
- Check and note the current Android and Funtouch OS versions and build number.
- Install any pending incremental update first, then restart and check again.
- Consult the official Vivo support page for the phone’s market or firmware region.
- If uncertainty remains, contact Vivo support with the model number, IMEI, and build number.
One owner receiving an update earlier does not prove that every variant should already have it. Vivo’s India upgrade support and UAE update support are examples of region-specific official channels.

Should you install firmware manually?
Prefer the phone’s official over-the-air updater or instructions from Vivo support for the exact model and region. Avoid unofficial packages and cross-region firmware flashing just to obtain Android 11. A mismatched or unverified package can erase data, prevent the phone from booting, affect warranty coverage, or disrupt network, camera, banking, or DRM features; reversing the change may not be straightforward.
Before any official update, back up photos, contacts, messages, and authenticator data; use Wi-Fi, keep the battery charged to around 50% or more, ensure adequate free storage, and do not interrupt installation. These are practical precautions, not a claim about a universal Vivo minimum battery or storage requirement.

Did every Vivo phone receive Android 11?
No. The available official announcement covered particular models in Russia, and rollout depended on market and variant. A regional support-page listing alone is not proof of Android 11 availability.
Did the Vivo V20 receive Funtouch OS 11?
The cited Vivo Russia announcement specifically names the V20 SE, not the V20 or V20 Pro. That source therefore cannot confirm Android 11/Funtouch OS 11 for those other models. Check the exact variant and its regional Vivo support channel.

Were the V17 and V15 series scheduled for Android 11?
In Russia, Vivo’s February 2021 announcement listed the V17, V17 Neo, V15 Pro, and V15 for rollout during 2021. A schedule is not a worldwide guarantee or proof that every variant ultimately received the update.
Why did two similar phones receive updates at different times?
They may have different model numbers, sales regions, carrier firmware, or rollout stages. Compare the build and model number, not only the name printed on the box.
Can an imported Vivo phone receive the local update?
Possibly, but it is not guaranteed. The phone’s exact variant and firmware region determine which update channel applies; living in a different country does not necessarily switch that channel.
How do I check my Funtouch OS version?
Open Settings → About phone or About device and look for the Funtouch OS version. Menu wording may differ. Check the Android version and build number there as well.
What if an update was removed or never appears?
Do not assume a regional update report applies to your device. Verify the model and current build, check again after any pending updates and a restart, then ask Vivo support for guidance. Avoid installing an unverified firmware file.
