AMD’s Radeon RX 7400 is no longer just a rumor. AMD now lists the low-power desktop graphics card officially, and Dell documents it in several business-desktop configurations. However, the Radeon RX 7300—named alongside it in an August 2024 leak—still has no equivalent official confirmation as of August 18, 2026.
The original report was directionally important, but several details changed or remain unknown. AMD confirms an RX 7400 with up to 8GB of memory and a 55W typical board power, while the leak’s suggested 4GB or 6GB configurations were never confirmed.
What the original leak claimed
On August 5, 2024, a report claimed that AMD was preparing two entry-level Radeon graphics cards: the RX 7400 and RX 7300.

The cards were reportedly positioned below the Radeon RX 7600 and expected to use cut-down versions of AMD’s Navi 33 GPU. The report suggested that the cards could have fewer than 2,048 stream processors and might use 4GB or 6GB memory configurations.

At the time, none of those details had been confirmed by AMD. There was no official launch date, price, board-partner information, or evidence of retail availability. Even the Navi 33 claim came from the leak rather than an AMD product announcement.
Radeon RX 7400 official specifications
AMD now has an official Radeon RX 7400 product page. Its published specifications confirm a compact, low-power desktop card intended for 1080p gaming and streaming.

The 1,792 stream processors do match the leak’s broad suggestion that the card would have fewer than 2,048. The eventual official memory specification does not confirm the reported 4GB or 6GB possibilities, however: AMD lists a maximum capacity of 8GB and a 128-bit memory interface.
AMD lists driver support for Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 64-bit, Ubuntu x86-64, and Linux x86-64. The product page’s 1080p positioning describes the card’s intended market, not independent benchmark performance. There is currently no supplied test data establishing its frame rates, ray-tracing performance, or ranking against competing GPUs.
Is the RX 7400 mainly an OEM graphics card?
The available evidence strongly points to OEM and business-desktop deployment, although it does not prove that AMD designed the card exclusively for OEM systems.

Dell’s official driver listing, dated August 18, 2025, includes the RX 7400 in a graphics driver package version 32.0.21010.10. The package covers several Dell systems, including:
- Dell Pro Slim Plus and Dell Pro Slim
- Dell Pro Tower Plus and Dell Pro Tower
- OptiPlex 3000, 5000, 7010, and 7020 systems
- Various compatible small-form-factor and tower configurations
This establishes that the RX 7400 was deployed or supported in specific Dell business desktops. It does not establish broad consumer retail availability, an AMD consumer launch MSRP, or universal compatibility with every Dell chassis.
AMD’s listed 167mm length, one-slot design, and 55W typical board power make the RX 7400 relevant to compact systems and office PCs that cannot accommodate a conventional two-slot graphics card with substantially higher power requirements. Still, buyers must check bracket height, internal clearance, cooling, BIOS support, and the system’s power-delivery limits. A one-slot specification does not guarantee compatibility with every small-form-factor case.
Is Navi 33 confirmed?
The original report linked both the RX 7400 and RX 7300 to Navi 33. That remains the correct way to describe the claim: it was reported as part of the leak.
AMD’s current RX 7400 product page confirms the card’s specifications but does not explicitly identify the GPU die as Navi 33 in the reviewed product-page material. Therefore, it would be inaccurate to say that AMD officially confirmed the Navi 33 design based solely on that page.

The RX 7300 should not be described as a Navi 33 product at all while the model itself remains unverified.

What happened to the Radeon RX 7300?
The RX 7300 remains unconfirmed as of August 18, 2026. It was named in the 2024 report, but the available evidence does not include:
- An official AMD RX 7300 product page
- A confirmed AMD specification sheet
- An AMD launch announcement or price
- A verified retail listing
- An equivalent OEM driver or system listing
The existence of the RX 7400 is not proof that the RX 7300 launched, was delayed, or remains planned. It may have been canceled, restricted to an unannounced channel, or never progressed beyond development. There is not enough evidence to distinguish among those possibilities.
Do not treat rumored RX 7300 stream-processor counts, memory capacity, bus width, clock speeds, or pricing as final specifications.

Its 128-bit interface and up to 173GB/s bandwidth may limit demanding workloads at higher settings, but the practical effect requires independent testing. No verified street price is established in the available official sources, so value comparisons with other new or used graphics cards would be premature.
For a Dell system, owners should begin with Dell’s support page and search by model or service tag. Dell’s validated driver package may be preferable to a generic driver when the card is installed in a supported Dell desktop, because OEM packages are tied to specific systems and configurations.
Timeline: from rumor to documented product
- August 5, 2024: A report claimed AMD was preparing RX 7400 and RX 7300 cards allegedly based on Navi 33.

What remains unknown
- Consumer MSRP and current street pricing
- How widely RX 7400 cards are available outside OEM systems
- Retail board-partner models and their exact dimensions
- Independent gaming and ray-tracing performance
- Whether AMD uses Navi 33 in the RX 7400
- Whether the RX 7300 was canceled, delayed, OEM-only, or never completed
Verdict
The 2024 leak was not entirely wrong: the rumored RX 7400 ultimately appeared as an official AMD product with 1,792 stream processors, up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory, a 55W typical board power, and a compact one-slot design. Dell’s support documentation further shows the card in several business-desktop families.
But the leak did not establish the final specifications, and it should not be used as proof that the RX 7300 launched. The accurate current summary is simple: the Radeon RX 7400 is official and documented, while the Radeon RX 7300 remains unverified.
