Yes. The full-size Lian Li Vector V100 supports back-connect ATX and back-connect M-ATX motherboards. Lian Li also lists conventional E-ATX boards narrower than 246 mm, ATX, M-ATX, and Mini-ITX compatibility. However, the word “compatible” is not a guarantee that every rear-connector motherboard will fit: connector placement, cable bend radius, heatsinks, and radiator clearance still need to be checked.
Important: the smaller Vector V100 MINI supports back-connect M-ATX, but not full-size back-connect ATX.
What “back-connect ATX compatible” means
Back-connect, rear-connector, hidden-connector, ASUS BTF, and MSI Project Zero motherboards move many connections from the visible front edge of the PCB to its rear. Instead of routing the 24-pin power cable, USB headers, fan leads, RGB cables, and front-panel wiring across the motherboard’s visible side, those cables pass through openings in the motherboard tray.
That can produce a cleaner-looking showcase build, particularly with the Vector V100’s dual-tempered-glass panoramic layout. It does not improve CPU or GPU performance, and it does not eliminate cable management. The PSU, CPU EPS, graphics-card power, fan, storage, USB, and front-panel cables still need to be routed and connected.

Retailer listings identify ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero among the relevant ecosystems, but those labels should be treated as an indication of the intended physical layout—not proof that every board in either family fits. Check the exact motherboard manual and the case manual before ordering.

These are maximum or stated compatibility figures, not guarantees for every combination of components. A thick radiator, fan assembly, unusually wide graphics card, power connector, or stiff cable can reduce the practical clearance available.

Check the exact motherboard before buying
A board can be marketed as BTF, Project Zero, or rear-connector while still requiring a layout-specific check. Use this checklist:
- Confirm the form factor. It must be a supported ATX or M-ATX board. A rear-connector feature alone does not make a nonstandard or oversized board compatible.
- Inspect the rear connector locations. Compare the board’s photographs or manual with the openings in the V100 motherboard tray. Check 24-pin power, EPS, USB, SATA, fan, RGB, and front-panel connections.
- Check cable bend space. Rear-facing plugs may need longer or more flexible cables. Avoid forcing a cable sharply against the side panel.
- Review VRM and memory clearance. A top 360-mm radiator and fans must clear the motherboard’s VRM heatsinks and DIMM area.
- Plan the installation order. Connect rear motherboard cables before access is restricted by the PSU, radiator, or graphics card.
- Test before closing the case. Verify power, USB, front-panel, fan, and ARGB connections before reinstalling the glass panels.
GPU, cooler, PSU, and radiator clearance
Graphics card
The full-size V100 is officially rated for graphics cards up to 420 mm long. A secondary listing uses 415 mm, but that figure conflicts with Lian Li’s full-size specification and also appears in specifications for the V100 MINI. Use 420 mm for the full-size V100, while allowing additional room for radiator thickness, side fans, power plugs, and cable routing.
If the GPU is close to the limit, measure the complete installed configuration rather than comparing only the graphics card’s advertised length. The included GB001 GPU support bracket can help reduce sag, but it must be adjusted so it does not press against the GPU cooler, fans, cables, or bottom-mounted hardware.

CPU cooler
Lian Li lists maximum CPU-cooler height as 178 mm. Another secondary specification reports 180.5 mm, but the official figure should take priority. A tower cooler at or near 178 mm leaves little tolerance for measurement differences or side-panel interference.

Power supply
The V100 supports an ATX PSU shorter than 220 mm. Buyers using a long PSU should verify its published dimensions, including any modular connector area and cable-routing requirements. Rear-connector motherboard cables can make planning behind the tray more important, not less.

The case supports up to nine fans in total, and Lian Li describes the side mesh as having perforation of up to 40.3 percent. That is a manufacturer specification, not an independent thermal result. The supplied information does not establish a particular temperature or noise advantage over other cases.
Before installing a top 360-mm radiator, check the radiator-and-fan thickness against the motherboard’s VRM heatsinks and memory. The V100’s large glass surfaces and open mesh layout may appeal to showcase builders, while buyers prioritizing acoustic isolation may prefer a more closed case.
V100, V100R, and retailer naming
Lian Li lists these full-size variants:

Verify the seller’s model number and included accessories rather than assuming that every Vector V100 includes four fans or the same controller.

The case has an integrated ARGB strip with 26 LEDs. ARGB lighting does not by itself guarantee a bundled controller or compatibility with every motherboard’s lighting software. Lian Li lists a one-year case warranty; the V100R listing specifies two years for the included fans.
Vector V100 versus Vector V100 MINI
Do not buy the V100 MINI for a full-size ATX back-connect motherboard. The two cases share similar naming and a showcase-oriented design, but their motherboard support is different.

Choose the MINI for a compact M-ATX or Mini-ITX build, including a compatible back-connect M-ATX system. Choose the full-size V100 when your board is full ATX or when you need its larger component clearances.

The official front I/O includes two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one audio port, a power button, and a reset button. Retailers may use newer USB naming such as USB 3.2 Gen 1 for the same general 5-Gbps class of connection.
Storage is a more significant limitation. Lian Li lists one 2.5-inch SSD position behind the motherboard tray and one 3.5-inch HDD position at the bottom. Builders planning several 3.5-inch drives should consider a storage-oriented case instead.

- Have you confirmed whether the chosen V100 suffix includes fans?
